Services for Employment

CLS Vocational Services provide job placement, job coaching, and job support/follow-up services to individuals with disabilities within the developmental disability system, as well as individuals with mental illness and referrals from Vocational Rehabilitation.  This programs serves people with a wide range of abilities.  Program plans are designed focusing first on career goals of individual choice, and the steps required to reach these goals.  Secondly, CLS strives for inclusion of people with disabilities into community-based integrated employment options.  Thirdly, a system of support that is the least restrictive to the individual and encourages natural supports while maintaining employer satisfaction.

This is a very diverse program that not only works to provide employment services to our persons we support, but also to advocate for and to encourage business involvement in the employment of people with disabilities at the local, state and national level.

• Vocational Evaluations - Vocational Evaluations help identify individual career interests and task related strengths.
• Job Placement - Job Placement services include a myriad of assistance ranging from help with resumes and interviewing skills,  to negotiating with employers to facilitate direct job placement. 
• Job Coaching - Job Coaching services allow staff to provide extra training and support services to individuals while on the job.
• Follow-up Services - Follow-up Services describe a wide range of support services designed to aid in job retention.
